Usage:
About average size for a cutting board, on the small side for butcher block. All the benefits of end grain butcher block construction, in a much handier size. Great for kitchens that are small but see a lot of use. Butcher blocks are extra durable cutting boards, and they are easier on sharp knife edges because instead of crushing up against the grain, the knife edge actually slips between the wood grain. Less knife marks shop in the board as well, because instead of severing wood fibers as you cut, the knife just pushes them temporarily to the side.
